Paying with crypto

You can pay with crypto from your dashboard; each crypto payment covers one month of the plan you choose. A crypto payment buys a 31-day term. It is not a subscription: nothing renews or is charged on its own, so to keep the plan you pay for a new term. Enterprise pays as set in its contract.

The dashboard flow

  1. Open Choose a plan in the dashboard and leave the switch on Monthly (a crypto payment covers one month).
  2. Press or pay with crypto → under the plan you want, instead of the card button.
  3. Choose the coin to pay with and press Get payment address. The coins and networks you can pay in are the ones that list shows; this page does not restate them.
  4. The dashboard sends you to our crypto payment processor’s own payment page for the order. Send exactly the amount it shows, in the coin it shows, and only on the network it shows: the same coin on another network can be lost.
  5. The plan is applied when the order is paid. The order and its state are under Billing → Crypto payments, where a paid order has a Receipt (PDF).

An order with no payment closes as failed when the payment processor reports it expired, or 24 hours after it was created, whichever comes first.

Crypto is not offered while a card subscription is still active, or while the dashboard is acting as a team workspace: switch Acting as back to Self first.

The order states

Status What it means
pending Order created; the payment is not complete yet. If you sent too little, the payment page shows what is still owed.
confirming The payment processor has seen the payment; waiting on network confirmations.
partial A payment arrived that does not cover the order in full; a person checks it. No plan activates while an order is partial.
paid The payment settled. The plan is activated.
failed The payment processor reported the payment failed or expired, or the order was closed unpaid or short of the amount due.
cancelled Cancelled before any payment. Terminal.

If something looks stuck, see crypto payment troubleshooting.

Refunds

Crypto payments are non-refundable, except in the cases the refund policy lists. If you may need a cash refund, pay by card.

Getting told when a payment settles

If your own systems need to know, subscribe a webhook endpoint to crypto.order.paid and crypto.order.failed — see the event catalog.
