Delete my account / data subject request (a person performs it)

You might be here because: “how do I delete my account” · “delete all my data” · “GDPR request” · “right to erasure” · “I want a copy of my data” · “there’s no delete button” · “cancel and remove everything”

Short answer

There is no self-serve delete button. To delete your account, email support at the address shown in the dashboard’s Security page Danger zone, or use Help with the “Account deletion request” topic. A person confirms it is you, offers to help export your data first, and then performs the deletion — it cannot be undone.

Check first

  • Do you want to cancel a subscription rather than delete the account? Cancelling is self-serve from Billing and keeps your data — see Cancel your subscription: what happens at the end of the period.
  • Are you the account owner? Only the owner can request deletion of the account; a teammate leaving a team does not delete their own account.
  • Signed in, so support can verify you from the account email?

Likely causes and fixes

  1. Send the request from the email address on the account (subject “Account deletion request” is pre-filled by the Danger-zone link).
  2. Verification. Support confirms it is you before anything happens.
  3. Export first, if wanted. Support helps you export data before deletion.
  4. Deletion. Access is revoked immediately — web sessions, API keys and webhook endpoints stop working at deletion time — and stored data is purged within the retention windows in the DPA, with a 30-day outer bound; copies in encrypted backups are gone within a further 40 days.
  5. What is kept. Invoice history is kept for 7 years as required by tax law and cannot be deleted on request. Payment-processor references follow the processor’s own retention.

Other data subject requests. Erasure requests are honoured within 30 days. For access, correction or export requests, email support the same way; a person handles them. The AI cannot delete, export or change account data.

If it still fails

If you have not heard back, reply on the same email thread with your account email. Anything security-related (you did not make the request, someone else has access) should say so in the first line so a person prioritises it.
