Didn’t get the verification, sign-in, reset or invite email

You might be here because: “no email from driftstack” · “verification email never came” · “reset email not arriving” · “didn’t get the sign-in link” · “invite email missing” · “check spam” · “resend didn’t work”

Short answer

Every account email comes from [email protected]. Check spam, junk and Promotions and the exact address you typed; wait a minute; then request the email again — for sign-in and verification emails the newest one wins and the old link stops working. If nothing arrives after that, the address may be on a bounce list, and a person has to clear it.

Check first

  • Did you type the address correctly? Aliases (user+driftstack@…), company filters and dot-stripping rules send mail somewhere unexpected.
  • Search your mailbox for from:[email protected], including spam, junk and Promotions.
  • Did you request it more than a minute ago? Recipient-side queues add delay.

Likely causes and fixes

  1. It went to spam or a filtered folder. Mark it “not spam” and add [email protected] to your contacts so later emails reach the inbox.

  2. It is slow. Wait a minute, then request it again. Sign-in and verification emails are safe to re-request: an earlier link keeps working until it expires, using any one of them retires the others, and the limit of three requests a minute per network address tolerates a retry. Open the newest email.

If you have asked many times: each kind of email reaches one address at most 5 times an hour and 10 times a day. Past that the page still says it was sent, but nothing goes out. Wait up to an hour, or until tomorrow if you asked many times, and in the meantime use the newest email you already have.

  3. A work address quarantines new senders. Some workplaces hold mail from new senders until an admin releases it; @driftstack.dev is the mail domain to allowlist.

  4. A team invite. Re-inviting the same address within 10 minutes of the last email is refused and sends nothing — the link already sent still works, so ask the invitee to look for the first one.

  5. Repeated silence on the same address. Usually a typo in the domain or a hard bounce: a bounced address lands on a suppression list that mutes every retry. Email support from a different address, mention the original one, and a person checks the delivery log, clears the suppression and replays the send.

If it still fails

Press Talk to a person in this chat (or open Help), or email support from an address that works, and include the address the email was sent to, what you did to trigger it, and an approximate time with timezone — that is what is matched against the delivery log. Clearing a suppressed address is done by a person.
