Sign up and confirm your email (link, resend)
You might be here because: “I signed up but never got the email” · “verification email not arriving / no code” · “it says verify your email address before logging in” · “the verify link doesn’t work / says invalid” · “how do I resend the verification email” · “signup is stuck / took too long / not working” · “it wants my password on the verify page”
Short answer
After you sign up, Driftstack emails you a single-use verification link. If opening it does not confirm you, paste the whole link on the verify page. Signup links expire after 30 minutes. If it never arrives or has expired, use Send a new link — the newest one always wins, and the old one stops working.
Check first
- Did you type the email address correctly? Search your mailbox for
from:[email protected], including spam, junk and Promotions. - Is a verification email already sitting in your inbox? If your signup “took too long”, your account may already exist. Don’t sign up again — go to verification and open the link or request a new one.
- Is your browser blocking site storage? The verify page refuses to sign you in without it. See Your browser is blocking site storage.
Likely causes and fixes
- “Verify your email address before logging in.” Your account exists but the address isn’t confirmed yet. On the sign-in page this shows a resend path; the email you typed is carried to the verify page for you.
- Link clicked but not verified, or link expired. “We couldn’t confirm it automatically” reveals a form — paste the link from the email. Signup links last 30 minutes; if the link is refused, click Send a new link (the page asks for your address if it doesn’t remember it). The newest email wins and the old one stops working; resend is capped at 3 per minute per network address.
- “Enter your password to confirm your email address.” The server sometimes needs your password before it will verify; the link is still good. Type the password you chose at signup. “That password doesn’t match” means the link works — only the password was wrong.
- “Your email is verified, but your browser couldn’t sign you in.” or “That took too long, so your email may already be confirmed.” Confirming most likely succeeded. Don’t use the link again — sign in instead. Only if sign-in says your email isn’t confirmed yet, use Send a new link.
- Sent straight to sign-in with “verified”? Your account has two-factor turned on; a verification link proves the mailbox, not your second factor, so you finish by signing in with your code.
- Nothing arrives after several resends. In order: check the exact address you typed; check spam, junk and Promotions; wait a minute and resend; on a work address, ask whether mail from new senders is quarantined; then contact support from a different address so the delivery log can be checked. If it still fails
Press Talk to a person in this chat (or open Help) and include the address you used, what you clicked, and an approximate time with timezone. Only a suppressed (bounced) address needs a person to clear it.
